Silk: The Natural All Seasons Option

With summer approaching, it's time to put aside the big, bulky down that you roast at night and remove the light coverlet. Unless, of course, you subscribe to the simple lifestyle offered by silk quilts.

It 'true that this is an excellent insulator - Arctic explorers and mountain climbers use to dismiss the bitter cold. Fortunately, most of us do not live in those years extreme weather throughout the year. So what do you do when you do not need all that insulation? For quilts, this means that their packaging (and take half of your precious storage space!). The fundamental problem is that low enough not to breathe, and it is therefore appropriate for warmer weather.

Take a look at all the wear high-tech synthetic activity outside your favorite stores - this device is any at all? Breathable. Because your body naturally rejects the heat and humidity, or you want to place on your skin, especially when trying to sleep. The silk fabric is breathable original. It has been used for centuries to silk stockings internal and external, and clothes, coats thick. Naturally absorbs excess heat and moisture, and can contain up to 30% of its weight in water. And 'cool in summer and warm in winter.

Here's a new idea: if you can use the same quilt for all year? This is what we are all silk quilts. Winter is warm enough that you can turn your thermostat and save on heating costs, as well as down. In summer, they breathe and keep you comfortable and dry. Depending on where you live, you may still need a light and a heavy silk quilt. But why are so thin and light, can be stored without taking up all the storage space. And, in contrast, can easily double within the duvet cover the same warmth. Report maximum flexibility.

Speaking of flexibility, have you ever had the "you're too hot, I" problem too cold? Because of its properties from ambient temperature, of course, silk solves this problem by maintaining two different zones of comfort and cozy in bed together.
